A PIXMAP licence is a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to run the software for the licence term, currently one year from activation. Each licence is for one user on one computer at a time. You may deactivate it from the dashboard and activate it on another computer.

To enforce this, the software binds the licence to a hashed identifier of your computer, checks the licence with our server at startup and periodically while running, and keeps working for up to six days without a connection, never beyond the licence expiry date. If the licence cannot be confirmed after that, or when it expires, the software returns to demo mode until it is renewed or reconnected.

Without a licence PIXMAP runs in demo mode: you can explore the patch editor, but Advanced Output (slicing, Visualize, NDI and display output), saving, loading and exports are locked, and a periodic audio watermark plays. Demo mode is for a first look, not production use.

You may not share, rent, sell or transfer a licence, circumvent licence checks or machine binding, run one licence on several computers at once, or use PIXMAP to build a competing product by copying it. Except where the law or an open-source licence listed in the Third-Party Notices expressly allows it, you may not reverse engineer, decompile or modify the software.

You own your projects, exports and the media you load. PIXMAP does not upload them. You are responsible for having the rights to any image, video or live source you play through PIXMAP, including content you receive over NDI, and for how you use the output.

When you turn on NDI sending, PIXMAP publishes video on your local network and any NDI-capable device there can receive it. You are responsible for the network you use and for who can reach it. NDI requires the free NDI runtime, which you install from ndi.video under its own terms; NDI® is a registered trademark of Vizrt NDI AB, and PIXMAP is not affiliated with or endorsed by Vizrt.

PIXMAP reads HAP files, an open codec by Vidvox, and DXV files for interoperability. DXV and Resolume are trademarks of Resolume B.V.; PIXMAP is not affiliated with or endorsed by Resolume B.V. or by any media server vendor whose formats it exports.

PIXMAP is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or compatibility with any specific hardware, media server, codec or network.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pixadoo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including lost revenue, lost shows, lost data or replacement costs, arising from the use of or inability to use PIXMAP. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
